It was a nice warm night. The sky was clear, and the stars shone fiercely with their radiant light. The wind blows by the dunes, taking what little sand with it. A little boy was lying on his backside in sand, his hands crossed under his head, breathing in the salty sea air. He stared into the bright night sky, filled with stars, all with different colors : red, blue, yellow, and green. It was rare to have a clear night such as this one, in the Land Of Departure, most nights it's nothing but clouds. Meaning that the darkness is becoming larger, and that only meant that it was only a matter of time before it reaches his world.

But the young boy wasn't thinking about the darkness, he was focusing on the beauty of the stars. He soon started to shape pictures from them, he saw Keys, Swords, and some peculiar looking creatures. He continued drawing out the stars till he came to a top, the last picture he saw was a KeyBlade.

The young boy smiled, he always wanted a KeyBlade, or to be more precise he always wanted to be a KeyBlade Master. The ability to fight the darkness, use of magic, saving worlds, the fame, and of course the girls, was everything a guy could need. But being a KeyBlade master isn't as easy as it seems. You need to find a KeyBlade master in order to train you. but that's nearly impossible, since a mass majority of them were slaughtered in the KeyBlade wars.

Only a few survived, but it was told that they too died of their wounds. Yet somehow one master survived, and made his home here, The Land Of Departure. Almost as soon as he made this world his home, many people proposed to him to make them his pupils, but he denied every request they asked. No matte how hard you beg or what threats you make, he will give the exact same answer: "No."

The KeyBlade master built a castle outside the town on top of a grassy mountain, surrounded by flowing water. The castle was not only built on a beautiful landscape, but the castle itself was remarkably beautiful. It was made out of limestone, coated gold with dazzling stained glass windows, no matter what condition the weather is, the castle will look beautiful at any angle.

The young boy sat up, and stared at the sea, deep in thought. The KeyBlade master was always quiet and kept to himself. Since he always denied everyone's request to be taken as a student, the townsfolk simply gave up. Everyone except him that is, the young boy thought that since the town gave up, and gave him the advantage of being his pupil. Yet, the answer remained the same, "No." Eventually the young boy gave up on just asking him to take him as his pupil, he needed a new way to get the Masters attention. And there was only one way he could think of.

Not only was the castle remarkably beautiful, but it had it's defenses as well, an Iron fence surrounded it partially, and there was traps hidden in the yard that can't be seen to the human eye. Many people tried to sneak into his castle, but always came back burnt, electrified, or partially frozen.
That's another reason why they left him alone.

The young boy himself even tried to to break into the castle, but failed. He didn't gave up though, he started search to where the traps where hidden, then avoid them, it took him 1 full year to locate all the traps, he succeeded on on locating the yard traps, but he never suspected that the castle itself would have its own defenses As soon as he touched one of the many stained window, a pulse of energy surged through his body,making him paralyzed, then it pushed from the castle with such force it stopped his heart. When he was blasted back from the castle, his luck seemed to have worsened. He landed on one of the hidden trap, triggering it making a small explosion. Which caused  him bounce onto another trap. That trapped caused him to be thrown into another, and another, and another.

He eventually triggered all the traps in the yard, but was in so much pain he had to crawl to the Doctor, who fixed him up as best as he could. The Doctor fixed all the injuries except one. His hair. His body couldn't take all the electricity he had encountered with so it went all to his hair, making it spike up permanently. He managed to keep the sides of his hair down, but the back and front remained the same.

The young boy sighed and tugged at one of his spikes, after remember that flashback.
He tried everything to get in the castle but always failed. Now he was desperate, and had one plan up his sleeve. If this plan didn't work, then nothing will.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The young boy stood in front of the castle, wearing a navy black t-shirt, with Grey long shorts, that has 2 white lines going down its sides, with a pair of sandals. He stood tall rehearsing the plan he gradually formed. He then took a deep breathe, filled with confidence, and rang the doorbell. The air was filled with the sweet melody of bells ringing.
No answer.
He pressed the button again. Still no answer.
He then started to press the button rapidly, not stopping for a moment, until he gets a reply.
It's been ten minutes since he started his battle against the button and still no reply. The young boy was becoming more agitated, as he pressed the button continuously yet not having a reply.
Who wouldn't answer their own door, for Pete's sake!
His agitation eventually transformed into boredom, which lead to him making his own music out of the sweet melancholy sound of bells.
Ding Dong......Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Dong
Dong Ding........Bing Dong
He was starting to have fun making his own music, it wasn't all that good, but it certainly wasn't bad! He continued making his own melody until the door started open. He instantly jerked his finger off the doorbell, and stood as straight as he could in front of the now opened doorway.
Standing in front of him was a tall man, entering his forties, wearing a white, red lined haori that seems to have a hood, along with slightly shorter than normal, light-colored hakama. Underneath the haori was a navy blue shirt with a large x pattern painted on it. He was wearing a black and gold armored boots, with a small section covering his abdomen. He was quite good looking, has black hair with a bang over his head , although he has a jagged scar over his right eye that lead to his cheek, his souvenir from the war, and he has a short triangular soul patch with a cool mustache.
He was the ultimate definition of coolness.
The KeyBlade master stared down at me, not with harsh eyes, but dull and bored eyes.
"What can I help you with?" he asked.
The young boy took a deep breath and buffed up his shoulders, he rehearsed the plan in his head, so nothing could go wrong, and nothing Will go wrong. He opened his mouth and said.
"You're so awesome & cool looking! I wanna grow up to be like you!"
The young boy mentally slapped himself in the head.
What was I saying! That wasn't part of the plan at all!!
The KeyBlade Master cocked an eyebrow, and stared down at me more, but with more interest.
"Well I feel honored to hear that, is that all you wanted?"
The young boy shook his head viciously.
"No sir! I would like you to take me as your pupil!" the young boy bowed towards the KeyBlade Master.
He heard a sigh, and look up to see the man shaking his head.
"How many times must I tell you?" he asked the young boy, "You come to me everyday asking the same question."
He stared down at the boy, who is still bowed towards him.
"The answer will be the same. No." The master started to close the door, until he heard the young boy say:
"You will take me as your pupil!"
The master opened the door again with a cocked eyebrow. And stared at the boy.
The boy stood up again and stared into the masters eyes with fierce determination.
"You will make me your pupil, rather you like it or not!"
The master crossed his arms with a hard face, but the young boy could tell he was hiding a smile.
"What makes you think I would do that?"
"I've been training long and hard ever since you moved here." The young boy pulled out a wooden sword he hid behind his back, and pointed it at the KeyBlade master. "I'm strong enough to take on anything, even you!"
The master stared hard at the young boy for a long time, expecting the boy to flinch. Yet the young boy stared back at him just as hard with flames of determination in his eyes. The master cocked his eyebrow even more and let a small smile slip out his lips.
"You can take anything, you say?"
The young boy kept his face hard, forcing himself not to get hopeful, not yet that is.
"I can on anything, and will take on anything!"
The Master opened the door wider and moved to the side.
"Let's see if you're true to your words." he said then walked further inside his home.
The young boy couldn't help but let out a huge smile, and followed the KeyBlade master. He was led to a small chamber with huge pillars supporting  the ceiling, and on the wall was a huge stained circular window, shining with multiple colors. The boy couldn't help but release a sigh filled with awe as he inspect the castle.
They came to a stop in the center of the chamber and the master turned around to face the young child. His face was stone hard and his eyes were so cold, the young boy almost shivered looking at them. The master then clapped his hands  and looked towards a hallway. The young boy followed his gaze as well.
In the hallway there was someone coming towards them. He was too far to tell but he was approaching them fast.
"What is your name child?" asked the KeyBlade master.
"Terra" said the boy
The KeyBlade master repeated his name then nodded as the person approached them. Terra suspected the person to be a boy, since he was wearing long jeans, a dark blue t-shirt, and seemed to have multiple small cuts and bruises. He was wielding a wooden KeyBlade
The KeyBlade master nodded once more then placed a hand on the younger boys shoulder.
"Terra, you will be fighting Aqua, if you can beat her, then I will take you as my pupil."
"Aqua? Isn't that a girls name?" Terra asked peering at the younger boys faced, who seemed to have flushed.
The Master let another smile creep out his lips. "Yes that is a females name, perfect for a female. Now Aqua go clean yourself, then come back."
Aqua nodded then walked down the hall quickly. Terra sat down and waited  for a while and the tension in the was getting to him. How long does it take just to clean up? Sure he had a few cuts and bruises but that should be no problem to clean up! After a few more moments of waiting He heard footsteps of someone approaching. Terra instantly stood up and got into his battle pose, determined, strong, and ready for the battle to commence.
Then he relaxed, but confused. Instead of the younger boy Aqua walking up, the was a girl with light blue hair, wearing the same clothing as aqua's, walking towards them. She was extremely beautiful, the most beautiful girl Terra has ever seen! She walked towards Terra slowly, looking at the ground. She then stood a few feet away from him not bothering to look up, Terra on the other hand couldn't help but stare at her beauty, such silky hair, her skin had a few light cuts on it but it seemed to make her appear even more gorgeous!
"Now that you're here, Aqua, let the battle Commence!"
It took Terra a few moments for his brain to process what he just heard.
"Wait! What? What happened to the guy I was supposed to be fighting!?"
Terra hasn't noticed that The young girl also called Aqua, cheeks slightly turned red, then she launched an attack. He barely had time to dodge the attack, he stumbled back then raised his wooden sword just in time before another blow could hit him.
Who is this girl? She's beautiful. What happened to the other guy? She's beautiful. Did he ran away or something? She's beautiful. Why am I fighting I girl! She's beautiful.
The young girl Aqua continued her rein of attacks, leaving Terra to do nothing but dodge, block, and parried He wasn't used to this, he fought plenty of guys before, guys way bigger then him, and bested everyone one of them. But to fight a girl? A girl? This is madness! He bent his head down just in time as her wooden KeyBlade flashed above his head. Which gave him enough time to hop back a few feet away from her.
She stood in the same spot and was in her battle pose, Terra switched to defensive. He couldn't be beaten by a girl, no matter how pretty she was, he had to win, it was the only way. The two stared at each other for a while waiting for the other to move. A sweat slid into Terra's eye, and he rubbed his eye with his arm, which gave Aqua an opening.
She dashed towards him with tremendous speed, and preformed a back-slash. Terra only had enough time to raise his sword, only to get it smacked out from his hands. She then pushed Terra, making him stumble backwards. Then jumped into the air and preformed a reversed-side kick right in Terra's chest, making him fall onto the ground, hard. Terra could have easily dodged the attack, but when she spun around he couldn't help but stare at her beauty, the way she moved was so mesmerizing that he couldn't do anything.
Terra then came back to reality, and lifted his head up to Aqua pointing her wooden KeyBlade in his face. Realizing he lost, he closed his eyes and set his head down in defeat.  I was defeated......by a girl!! How embarrassing can it get?
Terra opened his eyes when he heard clapping. He turned to the side to see the KeyBlade master walking towards them clapping firmly with a small smile on his face.
"Congratulations Terra. You lost."
Terra closed his eyes grinding his teeth. He lost, now he would never be a KeyBlade master. If he was fighting that other dude, then he would have one hands down, but he couldn't bring himself to harm a girl, a beautiful one at that. Terra slowly stood up knocking aside the wooden KeyBlade pointed at him. He lost, so he had no business being here, he doesn't belong here, nor was good enough to be a  pupil.
He turned away, facing the exit with his head facing the floor. Then began to walk away, feeling nothing but depression.
"Where do you think you're going, young man?"
Terra turned around,half confused, half surprised. What else would he want him for? He failed the test, he didn't keep his word, he was unfit for the job..
"I lost, I'm unfit for the job, I don't belong , so I'm just going to leave."
The master smiled more, waved his hand urging Terra to come back. Terra on the other hand was too dumbfounded to.
"I lost, I couldn't hit a girl even if I wanted to. And even if I could I still would have lost." Terra looked up at the master only to see him urging him to come back.
"The test wasn't to see if you could defeat a girl Terra, it was to see what you would do when you face a girl, Terra. Which you passed."
Terra was speechless, he was filled with happiness, joy and most of all confusion.
The master could see Terra was still dumbfounded so he continued to explain.
"You couldn't beat Aqua here even if you wanted to, she's been my student for years ever since I found her. Also when you were battling I could see that you were holding back, weren't you?"
Holding back? I gave everything I had to block her attacks....
"Err, yeah" , Terra replied scratching his neck, "I guess you found out!" It felt weird to lie to the KeyBlade master, but it could be his only chance to officially be his pupil!
The KeyBlade master nodded, then held his hand out to Terra
"Then come, let us introduce ourselves properly."
Terra, overflowing with joy ran back with a huge grin on his face.
"My name is KeyBlade Master Eraqus, I'm pleased to meet you." Said Master Eraqus
"The name's Terra", Terra shot back, shaking Eraqus's hand firmly, "Likewise!"
Terra then looked at the young girl, so beautiful, looks so fragile, but is actually a fierce fighter. The perfect girl. She stared at the floor trying not to look up, her bangs covering her eyes. Eraqus gently pushed her forward. "Go and introduce yourself Aqua."
The girl stumbled forward, and stood face to face with Terra Terra could now see her face more clearly.  Her Eye's were a dazzling  aquatic blue color that seemed to sparkle with life. Her short hair was blue as well but seemed to shine brightly whenever in light, her bangs covered her forehead making her seem more alive and definitely more dazzling. She was Gorgeous, if there was a word better fit her, he would use it. But as of right now she was just simply, gorgeous.
"The names Terra, nice to meet you!" he said, and held his hand out.
"Aqua, likewise." But she didn't bother to take his hand. She simply stared at him with eyes of steel, yet he felt that there was a hint of curiosity behind them. Terra smiled, fate had a funny way of handling things.
